Our Mission

The Mission of Second Baptist Church will be fulfilled in every member as we each make clear commitment; to the Word of God (in study, application and proclamation), to regular worship and prayer, to evangelism and discipleship and to regular fellowship in the church and members' homes.

The church's mission will be expressed in fulfilling our goals each year to increasingly equip our growing membership to serve with diligence and Christian maturity in all the vocations of life they represent.

The church's mission will be facilitated through a capable leadership, expressing itself in holiness in all aspects of church life and ministry. Serving and reaching out to foreign mission fields annually will demonstrate our commitment to the Great Commission and our desire to address the needs of others around the world.

The mission of the church includes the construction of facilities that will serve to minister to the needs of the larger community in which the church resides, and through these facilities, productively impact the spiritual and economic well-being of the community.

The church will train and equip members to operate, manage and develop such facilities and so provide members the means to exercise their gifts, experience and personal dreams.

In fulfilling this mission, Second Baptist Church will carry out the loving desire of our Lord Jesus Christ to preach the Gospel to every creature and make disciples of all nations.

The vision of Second Baptist Church is to enable every member to fully express his or her faith and maturity in Jesus Christ, in our fellowship, in our community

We can accomplish this by developing a mature leadership, a serving and sensitive laity and by prayerfully committing all our resources to the propagation of the Gospel of Jesus Christ in our immediate community and around the world.

We must maintain a spirit of worship, consistently praying, conducting evangelism, providing ministry, growing fellowship and providing discipleship through every member to the Glory of God
